Went here yesterday for the first time, and I am amazed at this delicious dining experience! It's been around for quite a while, but I just discovered it and cannot adequately. Describe how delicious the food is and the ambience... Including all the staff. I would return here in a heartbeat. The chicken and waffle was excellent, as was the catfish and the grits. Highly recommend!

Came by for lunch recently. Very cute and cozy diner like establishment; has almost a mom n pops type of vibe. Staff are especially friendly. Food was divine! Very comforting! I had the jambalaya it definitely has a kick to it! Not overbearing at all. At least not to me I love spicy food! Also had a side of fried okra one of my childhood favs! Which was cooked to perfection!! The cornbread was almost like a cake; very thick yet delicate!

I love waiting for great food I don't care how long I have to wait. I will sit and patiently wait while the most gracious meal is being prepared. I call this place "Grit City Goes To Breakfast" for all the right and wrong reasons. If you have: knee or neck tats, lip pumper, air Jordans, crocs, fake eyelashes, nails with tips, or generally like to get or high or drunk before 9:00am, this is your place. This was the best corned beef hash I've ever had in my life. The food is great and the price was right (not cheap, not wildly overpriced). HOWEVER if you don't like to shout over breakfast....get it to-go. If you're in the bar, prep yourself. We had to sit there or be subject to waiting even longer for a seat. Hostess said kitchen couldn't keep up. The music was so loud we could barely have a conversation with ourselves lmao Most definitely a locals place. Took about 20 minutes to seat us. Meanwhile dude waiting next to us started yelling at another guy across the restaurant in an argument. Staff seemed un-phased by this. Probably a regular thing. About 1 in 10 patrons reeked of weed or were clearly pretty drunk. If you're about that vibe, get a seat. If you like good local food but don't like that energy, get it to-go. Would recommend. Stay trill Pacific Southern, you are literally Tacoma manifested as a diner. 5 stars.

The service was excellent and the food was very well cooked. I enjoyed the laidback vibe and will definitely make this a regular stop whenever I'm in town.

The family and I stopped by for dinner since we had not been in a while. My husband and I split 4 pieces of chicken and some sides and my daughter had chicken as well. We also had hush puppies which were soooooo good! I also really liked the corn bread and Mac and cheese. I can't wait to come back and try the shrimp and grits! The highlight of the evening though was the server, Suna. She was so kind to our daughter and made sure we had everything we needed.

Just amazing! I had heard of this place, mostly for breakfast/brunch, but they have a full menu through lunch and dinner too! If you are looking for great portions and southern food, definitely try this restaurant! We came by for breakfast and everyone got something different, from the chicken and waffles, cinnamon roll French toast, Andy's French toast, to breakfast platters, and it was all amazing! The tables and seating was bigger than I imagined from the outside and we felt like we had plenty of space. The service was good too, but got a little slower once things got busy. I will be back for the chicken and waffles, and I want to try the Mac and Cheese and jambalaya next for dinner! Also, this place is very easily accessible near the Tacoma Mall area and has its own parking lot.
